Bromstone Primary School in Kent has to be one to the friendliest schools I have ever visited. This is a school embarking on the EQ pathfinder programme to help develop emotional intelligence across the school to help raise standards further in teaching, learning and behaviour. However, this is a school building on an already well established EQ ethos. My EQ litmus test as I walk into the building has never scored so high on the first impressions scale. All staff smile and make eye contact, I am asked many times if I am ok as I wait and I am constantly updated as to when I will be seen.

The Head Nigel Utton leads a dynamic no nonsense, speak your mind Senior Leadership Team who recognise each other's styles of communication and as a consequence, work incredibly effectively to move the school forwards. The pace is fast, the staff are on board and the ambition is high.

This is our leading school in the South East and here at EISAF, we couldn't have a better advocate. I look forward to keeping you posted on their progress.
